The stock RG Nano D-pad has a lot of wobble to it, which you notice fast in puzzle and fighting games. This larger replacement fixes that. More precise, more responsive, and the material was chosen carefully after a lot of experimenting.
A good example of the difference is Taiyaki’s Fabulous Museum of Fish. On the stock D-pad, input errors were pretty frequent. On this one they basically disappear.
Also includes Start, Select and Power buttons.
Installation is straightforward. You’ll need a T6 Torx screwdriver and a small Phillips head. Remove the Torx screws, gently open the device, swap the D-pads out. Just be mindful of the battery, screen and ribbon cable while you’re in there. There are good tutorials on YouTube if you want a visual guide, and I’ve included comparison photos in the listing so you can see the size difference yourself.
